TabXpert Privacy Policy

Welcome! This Privacy Policy explains what information TabXpert collects, why we collect it, and how you can manage it when you use:


1. Who we are

TabXpert is developed and operated by Andriy Kiyanovskyy (contact details in §12). For GDPR purposes we are the data controller for all personal data processed by the Services.


2. The information we collect

Sensitive Browsing Data (“SBD”). URLs and tab titles are considered SBD under the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy. We collect them solely to provide user‑facing features that you trigger, such as saving or restoring a session. We never sell SBD or use it for personalised ads.


3. How we use your information

  1. Provide and improve core functionality — save/restore sessions, manage tab groups, show recent history.
  2. Diagnostics & security — detect crashes, fight abuse, and keep Services reliable.
  3. Advertising (TabXpert New Tab only) — display ads in reserved slots on the new‑tab dashboard.
    We do not share SBD with ad networks. Only non‑personal, contextual signals (extension language, ad slot ID, approximate time of day) are sent.
  4. Communications — send product or billing emails that you explicitly request (e.g., receipts, release announcements).

4. Chrome permissions & why we need them

Limited Use declaration. “The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.” We request only the minimum permissions needed for session & tab management and do not use or transfer your data for other purposes.


5. Sharing & third‑party processing

We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

Certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies with respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our extension or website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this privacy policy.

TabXpert is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.


10. International transfers

Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt) but may be accessed by support staff in Ukraine under Standard Contractual Clauses.

We post updates on this page and, for material changes, notify you via the extension UI or email.
